The Holistic Patient Journey
A treatment programme will consist of, at the very minimum, 3 consultations.
Once you book an appointment, we will send you comprehensive health questionnaires that cover your health concerns, goals, and interventions to date. If possible, please request a 'brief summary' from your NHS GP and a copy of any blood test results you have had within the past year.
-
At your first new patient appointment, which will last 50-60 minutes, we will review your questionnaires and take an in-depth health history, full physical examination with biometric measurements .
-
Your Personalised Treatment Plan will be tailored to your unique needs and goals. We will work together to develop a comprehensive strategy that may include:
-
Lifestyle Modifications
-
Targeted Nutritional Interventions
-
Stress Management Techniques
-
Lab Testing and radiological imaging (if needed)
-
Medication and Supplement Recommendations
-
At the 1st Review Appointment which will last 25-30 minutes, we will discuss the results in detail and assess the effect of any interventions.
-
We will then schedule the next Review appointment to evaluate progress and/or modify the treatment plan as necessary. These follow up appointments will be for 25- 30 mins.

Autoimmune Conditions
If you have been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hashimotos disease or Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or suffering with unexplained symptoms (see below) this pathway may be suitable for you
-
Fatigue
-
Joint pain and swelling
-
Dizziness
-
Muscle Pain
-
Skin problems
-
Abdominal pain or digestive issues
-
Recurring fever
-
Swollen glands

We will focus on diagnosis and monitoring via detailed blood testing including inflammatory markers, autoantibody profiles, viral screening and a full thyroid panel. If needed we can assess adrenal stress. We will assess gut health and dysbiosis with specialised stool testing.

Management plans will be complementary to conventional treatment. These include optimising the diet with functional nutrition and supplementation as needed to reduce generalised inflammatory processes within the body, working on stress and mental health that often accompany these conditions and improving sleep.
Alternative practices include working on the energy systems within the body and yogic breathing.
Gut Health
Gut imbalances can arise due to several factors that disrupt the delicate equilibrium of the gut microbiome. Poor diet, high levels of stress, inadequate sleep, and sedentary behaviors can all contribute to dysbiosis.
The first intervention is adopting a gut-healing diet. Initially, this should exclude known allergens and gluten and food containing glyphosates should also be significantly limited or avoided, due to adverse effects on gut permeability. Sugar should be reduced as it encourages the growth of unfavourable microbes.
Supplementation then plays a vital role in supporting gut health. L-glutamine aids in the repair of the gut lining. Omega-3 fatty acids and turmeric can help reduce gut inflammation. Probiotics and prebiotics are used to restore microbial balance, while zinc helps restore an impaired gut lining. Activities that reduce the stress response, such as yoga and meditation, can benefit gut health. Acupuncture, massage treatments, and exercise may also help reduce stress and support the restoration of gastrointestinal health.
Addressing gut health improves a variety of health problems by reducing inflammation and rebalancing neurotransmitters. We use specialised labs tests to evaluate microbial balance, gut permeability, and nutrient absorption, providing valuable insights into gut health.

Mental Health
Good mental health is an essential aspect of overall well-being. It enables individuals to cope with life's stresses, realise their potential, and contribute to their community. Achieving optimal mental health requires a combination of healthy habits, psychological skills, and resiliency.
We can help with conditions such as :
-
Depression
-
Anxiety
-
Bipolar Affective Disorder
-
Panic Disorder
-
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

We are able to dive deeper into root-cause testing, including thyroid, cortisol, hormones, micronutrients, oxidative stress biomarkers, food sensitivities and blood sugar.
Conventional treatment for mental health typically involves a combination of medications and therapy.
We will consider also using a combination of modalities including nutrition, acupuncture, herbal supplements mindfulness therapies, meditation, yoga and exercise to create a personalised plan.
Metabolic Health Management
Metabolic Health is a term used to describe a group of conditions that increase the risk of developing diabetes, heart disease and stroke.
When metabolic health is poor, inflammation can become a major issue. Hormonal imbalances can make it harder to lose weight, while elevated triglycerides, blood pressure, and insulin resistance can cause further inflammation and oxidative stress. The gut microbiome can also be thrown out of balance, putting additional strain on the liver and immune system.
Metabolic syndrome is a complex condition that can be caused by a combination of genetic and lifestyle factors. Understanding underlying causes of metabolic syndrome can help identify root factors such as chronic stress, lack of sleep or exercise, and imbalances in the body's systems that may contribute to symptoms. By addressing these factors, it may be possible to improve metabolic health and reduce the risk of related health issues.

Testing will involve stool analysis to look for patterns of dysbiosis which can contribute to systemic inflammation and poor metabolic health. Blood testing will include Thyroid, Liver, Kidney, Sugar levels, micronutrients and inflammatory status.
Management of metabolic health includes achieving good glycemic control, reducing inflammation and abdominal obesity, increasing physical activity, reducing stress, addressing gut health and hormonal imbalances, and correcting nutrition deficiencies. A holistic approach that combines nutrition and lifestyle changes is the most effective for sustaining weight loss and improving glycemic control.

Managing the Menopause
Natural menopause occurs in three stages: perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause.
For most women, perimenopause begins in their mid-40s, typically 8-10 years before they reach menopause. The average British woman will reach menopause at 51.
During the perimenopause you may be suffering from symptoms such as :
-
Irregular and missed periods
-
Temperature fluctuations
-
Vaginal dryness and discomfort during sex
-
Changes in mood
-
Thinning hair
-
Dry skin, eyes, and mouth
-
Breast changes: loss of fullness, tenderness
-
Urinary urgency and frequency
We will assess stress levels, hormonal health and other cardio- metabolic risk factors, improve symptom control by working on hormone balance, exercise and nutritional strategies that can improve overall health, enhance quality of life, and promote longevity.

Longevity Consultation
Longevity Medicine is a cutting-edge approach to preventive medicine that utilises deep biomarkers of aging to provide personalised care. By studying epigenetics and anti-aging models, we now know that our choices can control which genes turn on and off. Armed with this knowledge, we have the potential to prevent and even reverse these dynamics by understanding an individual's unique biomarkers.
The lifestyle factors that affect our longevity to address first include sleep, nutrition, exercise, toxins and stress.
We can also perform lab testing such as Metabolomix, which explores over 120 biomarkers and 40 vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids through a urine test. This shows how your body is handling oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, methylation imbalance, and toxin exposure. Genetic testing may also be helpful. We can use epigenetic clocks to define biological age accurately.
We can also test for inflammation and a full cardio-metabolic screen to assess for reversible risk factors.
This gives us a platform to create a sustainable wellness plan to improve your health and longevity.
Men's Health
As men age, they can experiences changes in their body.
Signs of the 'male menopause' include
-
low mood and depression
-
loss of libido and erectile dysfunction
-
hair loss
-
reduced muscle mass
-
abdominal weight gain and increased body fat
-
insomnia
It is also important to manage any underlying health conditions which become more prevalent in this age group such as metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease can impact health and testosterone levels. Therefore, it's crucial to address these conditions to ensure hormonal balance and overall well-being.

We can conduct Hormone level assessments and discuss lifestyle measures including increasing physical activity, weight management, stress management and testosterone replacement therapy to help manage these effectively.
Cardiovascular Health
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the UK and US.
Cardiovascular tests are designed to assess various risk factors have been linked to cardiovascular disease, including lipids, inflammation, and glucose.
To improve cardiovascular health, we consider other factors that may contribute to poor heart health, such as inflammation, oxidative stress, metabolic status, thyroid, nutrient levels, and diabetic health.
We will then implement a variety of approaches including:
-
Medications
-
Dietary changes including reduction of added salt and sugar, increasing soluble fibres, decreasing alcohol consumption, and eliminating processed food
-
Lifestyle changes to include appropriate exercise, smoking cessation, decreasing stress, and achieving adequate sleep
-
Supplements to improve nutrient health such as omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, coenzyme Q10, vitamin D
-
Weight management

Stress Management
Stress is a natural response that affects our body and behavior. While short-term stress can positive effects, chronic stress can have a significant impact on our bodies, leading to dysregulation of the adrenal and nervous systems. This can put a strain on vital organs such as the heart, blood vessels, and immune system by constant activation of the sympathetic nervous system. Studies have shown that stress is strongly linked to various diseases, including autoimmune disease, cancer, cardiovascular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and menstrual problems and mood disorders.
We will seek to identify stressors including issues around diet, exercise and sleep. We will investigate hormonal balance including thyroid status, gut health and micronutrient status. We will consider making lifestyle changes, nutritional recommendations including supplements and adaptogens and introduce mind-body practices to reduce stress levels and improve overall well-being.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is characterized by extreme, persistent, and unexplained fatigue that lasts six months or longer, poor concentration, and other unexplained symptoms. It is generally treated with pain relieving medications and cognitive-behavioral therapy but these are not always effective alone.
We will assess possibly underlying triggers such as

-
Micronutrient Deficiencies
-
Viral infections
-
Immune System Dysfunction
-
Leaky Gut
-
Hormonal Imbalances
-
Stress and Emotional Trauma
-
Environmental Factors

We can perform testing for gut health, inflammation, viral screening, hormones and toxins and food sensitivities. We will work on lifestyle modification focussing on stress management, mind- body movement practice, nutrition, mindfulness practices and supplements as needed.
